Out of the Mouth of Babes

I received this special message and wanted to share —

I cannot even explain how I'm so thankful that you Leah told me —literally it’s a major revelation that I've received through you. When you said to bring your brokenness to church and you said to come grumpy; I mean that's so powerful when you told me that. I was like oh my gosh, revelation! Revelation right there! Because you just don't think about that. The old nature and the devil will deceive us and tell us that's not even an option to come broken, to come grumpy a too church.,

No, we think we need to come in the best mood ever, being on our best behavior, but no, we can't! If not, we’re not being honest.  We're pretending when we're doing that and that's never helpful, it just makes our walk a lot harder than it already. That's really so encouraging!

Keep telling people and also new believers who may have not heard that yet from the live stream or whatever,  but tell them you know, to bring their brokenness to church. Tell them T o stop pretending!  Come grumpy, come sad, come angry, come hating everybody at the church. Come, come, come! I don't know, come being depressed, sad whatever you feel like, just come.  Come when you feel like you're about to just walk away from the Lord. No matter what come, because we need it. We are there to pray about it and as a corporate body. Come to the Lord in prayer and to encourage each other, to support each other. Come no matter what the mood is and it does not matter if you're the angriest person in the world, come to church — because we are all broken and we can all relate to that and we have all been there.

The older people especially have “been there, done that”.  and we really can lay those things at the foot of the cross. Thank you so much for mentioning that,  because I'm sure that set a lot of people free at church. The reminder to bring our brokenness, praise the Lord! Because I mean, literally all we have to offer is our brokenness to the Lord.

So essentially, if we're not bringing our brokenness to church, then we're literally lying to the others.  We're lying to the church and that's a sin and we really need to take this serious.  That's what the Lord wants as well, to bring our brokenness to church, because that's all he wants is our brokenness. All we have to offer is our brokenness to the Lord but that's all He wants, but praise God that He paid the price at Calvary. Thank you, Jesus.

David
