How Does a Post Temple Jew Find Forgivenss?

The Jews Temple, where God at one time dwelt and spotless animal sacrifices were made to God, was destroyed in AD 70. Sin must be covered by the blood of one perfect and innocent, of which there was no human to qualify until Jesus, so animals had to suffice. Sin is a serious business as was exemplified through the mandate from God to sacrifice. It wasn’t because God was blood thirsty as some think. It was because the soul that sins must die! He had to implement a way to save every soul or they all would end in Hell.

But after the Temple was destroyed and of course Jesus came, there was no need for a temple, for he did one act, what all the animal sacrifices could not do. He WASHED away sin, where the animals could only COVER sin. But the Jews today as a whole do not believe in or accept Jesus payment for sin. And with no Temple, no sacrifice, what to do? It was and is a very real problem!

“Modern Jews believe that forgiveness of sin is obtained through repentance, prayer, and good deeds. They use verses like Hosea 6:6 to devalue the need for sacrifices: “I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.” Still, it is hard to overlook such passages as Leviticus 17:11, “The life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.”

The blood is required, but without an obedient heart, a heart that desires and loves him, sacrifice is useless. Hebrews 9:22, which the Jews don’t read of course makes this plain as well as Hebrews 9:15.

So the answer is, there is no forgiveness for the Jew. Jesus was what all the sacrifices pointed to and they refuse Him. Pray for God’s chosen people, the Jews. Satan is after them with a vengeance then and now, but they are still gods chosen people.

Blessings
