One of my favorite scriptures is 2 Sam 6:14 “And David danced before the Lord with all his might, clad in a linen ephod.”
I believe this is what Heaven will be like! We will be free of all restraints in our expression of love for our King. We will be able to dance and praise freely, with not one thought of what someone else will think or societal restraints.
The closest I can get to this is at home, by myself, when no one is home but me. I can put praise music on and sing to my hearts content, dance before Him, raise my hands to glory, speak in tongues as the Holy Spirit leads me in prayer and praise to my Abba.
I may not have an opportunity publicly to express my praise and abandon pride like David, but I can come close at church and I can sure experience it at home. It’s a great feeling to garrison all that I am, all that I’m carrying, in sweet abandonment for Him, even for just a little while.
