Glory In Your Weakness

My hubby was watching Grave Yard Cars on TV and I was not really listening, because that doesn't interest me at all, but I heard the host say that two of his guys are specialist in body work. One came from Chevy, and one from Honda. He was saying what a benefit they are to him, in their expertise and knowledge. It reminded me of Exodus 31 when God had a plan for Israel, and for the Temple, but there was one problem. The Israelite people had been slaves for 400 years!
The Bible says they made bricks. It does not say that they were master craftsmen. Probably they were not entrusted with such knowledge and skill, but rather retained as laborers. How then is God going to get his massive, elaborate Temple built, from which He Himself will dwell? Well, like He told Paul in 2 Corinthians 12: 9: "My strength is made perfect in (your) weakness."

The people had plenty of that, so it is a perfect scenario! In Vs 2 God saw and called a man named Bezaleel and filled him with His spirit, with wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. But that's not all! God filled him with "all manner of workmanship." (And we question today the Baptism in the Holy Spirit!) God gave, imparted to this man, who had been a slave, the knowledge to work with gold and silver, brass, cutting of stones and how to set them, and in carving wood. The scriptures lists other names and the knowledge He imparted to them, such as Ahisamach, who He imparted wisdom to. Others, the art of working with fragrances, etc.

Nothing has changed. You are good at something and not good at something else. You didn't choose what you would be good at, God did. God wants you to give that strength to Him and allow Him to use it for His glory. All we do in life should be about His glory. Let Him have your weakness so you will shine brightly in His glory, as well as your strengths too!
