While He May Be Found

We watched the whole day of Trumps inauguration and I thought about how people, me included were afraid to display support for Trump. Afraid of retaliation, afraid of vandalism to person or property.  But here we are, with the majority of the US voting for a man, that many were afraid to display their views on. The country, the majority, is not for all the woke and DEI garbage. They are tired of it, and praise the Lord we can express our views through our vote.

The book of Judges is all about a nation who did not allow God to be their King, but rather “did what was right in his own eyes,” and they did some pretty foolish things. It shows us what human kind will do without a strong, Godly leader to lead.

Think about sanctuary cities. God instituted Sanctuary Cities, by setting 6 cities apart in Israel, where someone could flee to if he had committed an accidental murder, what we call man-saluter. He could go there, before the avenging family members killed him. This gave time for a trial to be held and cooler heads to prevail. It was NOT designed to harbor child molesters, muderers, rapists, etc., but man in charge, without God, always does “what is right in his own eyes”, (Judges 21:25) and mayhem always ensues. Just look at California!

It seems a “Godly sense”, much superior to “common sense”, is prevailing in the US right now. But it won’t last unless the people repent and call on God. We may have a reprieve from insanity and crime for a short time, but like Israel of old, they always went back. It takes daily surrender to God. Use this time to get yourself right with God, because the next go round may be worse and it’s hard to find God in the depths of despair!

SEEK THE LORD WHILE HE MAY BE FOUND; CALL ON
HIM WHILE HE IS NEAR.
- ISAIAH 55:6

Blessings
