Was It Just?

Was God just, to strike down Uzzah for touching the ark, when the oxen stumbled and rocked the cart? (2 Samuel 6:1-7) Yes, He was! Without a proper understand of God, His holiness, His law, we will read that story through the wrong eyes . Eyes of mis-judgment.

God laid out the law for the Ark in Exodus 25:12-14. He said there that His Spirit would dwell atop the Ark and if anyone touched it they would die, for He is holy. It was also to be carried on the shoulders of the Koathites and not transported on a cart. Had king David consulted the Word, he would have known, but he didn’t, and he probably was not in the habit of going to where the Torah was housed and reading it. None of this was an excuse!

Today we justify sin. We think God should see things our way. “He should understand,” but just like Uzzah, we will be held accountable for what is available especially in the US. It’s called the greatest selling book of all time, the Bible!  It’s everywhere, and you won’t simply “slide” because you never took the time to read it. Uzzah wasn’t spared for ignorance and neither will we be. And that’s not unjust! We have a choice to make and people make it, to their demise every day.

Make the right choice while you can. It’s not unjust. You have the right to choose good or evil. It’s the only two choices! God or Satan. And thinking you’re not choosing, is a choice!

Join me Sunday mornings at 10:00 for The life of David at Freedoms Light Church Of God and on Facebook.

Blessings
