If I had inside information that you and your family were going to be attacked and killed on a certain date, and I did not tell you, would you hold me personally responsible if you lived?
Let’s look at 1 Corinthians 6:9–10 (KJV):
"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
There—we’ve all been warned. Now, what do we do with the warning? We are ALL unrighteous, even if you haven’t committed one of the sins listed.
Unrighteous? Condemned!
Ever had sex before marriage? Condemned!
Put anything before God? Condemned!
Had an affair, even in your mind? Condemned!
Transgender? Condemned!
Homosexual? Condemned!
Ever stolen? Condemned!
Wanted what your friend has? Condemned!
Got drunk? Condemned!
Caused trouble? Condemned!
Cheated someone? Condemned!
There’s the warning. Judgment awaits. You will pay for your sin and separation from God in Hell, no matter how good a person you believe you were, despite the sins listed above. These are examples of sin and unrighteous works before God. But we have a great Savior who came to deliver us from separation from God. He came to deliver us from the sins we are born into. He came to warn us that judgment is coming unless we choose to allow Him to pay the price of sin to God on our behalf.
Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
You’ve been warned.
