According to Breitbart, the Catholic Church is. In an article entitled: More Young Americans Finding A Home In Catholocism. It’s an eye opening article, explaining that some dioceses are seeing 30 percent to 70 percent increase in new converts. Although Bible sales are the highest they have been for forty years, which the Catholic Church does not tell you to buy Bibles, but the millennials are “finding the rituals and ancient history of the Catholic Mass profoundly beautiful.”
“The church really communicates a degree of reverence that I didn’t find in the more liberal, laissezfaire approach of nondenominational churches,” one 30 year old woman said. She went on to explain that the Catholic Church feels less like a “cultural experience” and more religious, ground in history and tradition. What could be more grounded in history than the death and ressurection of Jesus Christ?
The millinials are going for that “religious feeling” that makes them feel like they’ve done something for God. But that is false and a lie! Nothing religious will save you. Nothing you can do, can save you. It’s the blood of Christ alone that can save you. Religion is an old lie from the enemy. Jesus wants you to have relationship with Him. He wants you as His eternal bride. That is NOT religion!
Trending converts in their 20’s and 30’s and after Covid are growing, where the protestant churches are declining. Another convert spoke of using the ‘’rosary prayers’ to alleviate anxiety and depression. Anxiety and depression is an epedemic today, but Jesus said not to pray useless, rote prayers. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Matthew 6:7
It’s very interesting that young people are looking for structure and moral order, that they feel they are getting from the Catholic Church. “Cite the pandemic, the internet and a distaste for “lax” Protestant alternatives as reasons for turning to the faith,” said the Catholic Register.
