Your Sins Will Find You Out

My friend painted this mental picture for me, and I absolutely lost it laughing. He described himself zig‑zagging across a field like a man fleeing for his life, glancing over his shoulder in pure panic—because behind him, right on his heels came a stampede of tiny, fluffy baby birds!

Not majestic eagles. Not intimidating geese. No—these were puffball-sized chicks, sprinting after him with all the determination of Olympic athletes. And there he was, shooing them away, insisting, “They’re not mine!” while they kept pace perfectly, chirping their little “Oh yes we are!” energy with every step.

I could see it so clearly it felt like I was watching a cartoon unfold in real time.

And the best part? He said, “That’s what sin is like.”
You can deny it.
You can yell at it.
You can zig, you can zag, you can serpentine like you’re avoiding sniper fire—but those fluffy little sins will zig with your zig and zag with your zag. They’re fast. They’re persistent. And they will absolutely find you out.

Get the picture? There’s only one real way to deal with sin: stop running from it and hand it over to Jesus.

Blessings
