What Do You See?
I read the greatest devotion in Joyce Meyers, Battlefield of the Mind Devotional, my favorite! She gave the analogy of what one thinks, based on who you are listening to, with those optical allusion pictures. You know the ones that it depends on how you look at it, as to what you see. As she put it, “If we looked at a picture one way, we saw a woman's face. If we looked at it differently, we saw a rose.”
She made this comparison with whose voice we listen to. If we listen to that demonic voice that makes us doubt God, we see one thing, the woman’s face but we will never see the rose. And the uglier the woman’s face gets!!!!
If we listen to the Holy Spirit and tell Satan to “go pound sand, in JESUS name”, then suddenly we see the rose!!!! My attitude is better, my countenance is better, I can even begin to smell the rose!
Yes, what a great example of life. It really is our choice. What do you see?
