If you know me, you know I love the Old Covenant, for God used it to show me the Truth of the New Covenant. I began noticing parallels and overlapping Truths in my studies. Amazing how a book 1200-1500 years in the making, with 40+ authors, could come up with such a cohesive theme and then to pick out of all the ancient writings, 66 of them to call the Bible, of which the Apocrypha (extra books) are NOT included. But why not?
Dustin Blystone has made an amazing discovery in that the book of Isaiah, written roughly 700 years before Christ, contains, in order, an outline of every Book of the Bible within its 66 Chapters. In other words, Isaiah is a microcosm of the entire Bible. Book 1 which is Genesis, parallels Chapter 1 of Isaiah. Book 2 Exodus parallels Chapter 2 of Isaiah. And so forth all through the 66 books and corresponding 66 chapters.
Take for instance Book 7 Judges and Chapter 7 of Isiah. Judges tells the story of Sampson seeing a swarm of bees in the lion of a carcass. Bee is used 1 time in the Bible and bees is used 3 times. This parallel is found in Book 7 Judges 14:5 and Isiah Chapter 7:18. The word fly in Isaiah 7 also appears 1 time and flies appears 3 times. Book 7 Judges 16:16 and Isaiah 7:20.
Judges Book 7 speaks of Samsons strength (his hair), and his loss of strength (being shaved) by a razor. Isaiah Chapter 7 speaks of a razor, “The Lord will shave with a razor hired from beyond the River—the king of Assyria…” concerning Judah will be stripped, humiliated, and reduced by the very nation King Ahaz trusted for help.
Each book corresponds by its numbered placement exactly to each Chapter of Isaiah and the Apocrypha doesn’t fit! This shows that even the chapter and verse division was Holy Spirit inspired. Isiah was NOT chaptered or versed at the time of the Canon!
The Bible is a timeless, supernatural book that contains the Words of life. Jesus was the Word made flesh. If you want to know God, then read His supernatural book. It’s inexhaustible and it’s alive!
