When Your Not Looking

When You're Not Looking

We all know it—or if you don’t, you will, that timeless truth from Proverbs 3:5–6:

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

It’s hard not to fix things ourselves. We want to step in, take control, solve the problem. But here’s the truth: most of the time, we simply can’t. So why do we keep trying?

If you’ve surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus Christ—if your heart longs for Him more than anything else (and yes, that desire grows the more you seek Him)—then you don’t have to carry the burden of fixing everything on your own anymore.

When you truly trust Him……when you admit that His ways are higher, wiser, and far better than your own… When you acknowledge Him in every step, every decision, every moment… Then He will direct your path. Not just gently guide you—but transform you. He will do things in you and for you that you couldn’t even imagine.

A dear friend once prayed, “Lord, I ask You to do some things when I’m not looking’.” And I love that! It’s a prayer of surrender. A declaration of trust. A beautiful way to live—believing that Jesus is working behind the scenes, even when we’re unaware, even when we’re not watching.

So rest in Him. Let go of the need to control. And trust that even when you’re not looking… He’s working.

Blessings
