I always say we do new believers a great injustice by having them start reading the Bible in John. Without starting at the beginning of the book, laying a sure foundation, they will not have all the pieces of the puzzle. You won’t know why Jesus had to die. You won’t understand why there is so much evil and suffering in the world. There is no explanation man can device outside of Genesis. In fact, I asked AI Copilott in every way that I could think of, “Where did evil come from?” It could not answer. It gave religious views, philosopher and psychological views, but actually called it a “mystery”. I thought that was funny due to Paul calling it the same: For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 2 Thess 2:7 Yes its a mystery why Lucifer turned on God and became evil, but to answer the question all young people ask, is to say that Genesis tells us it was a perfect paradise God put man in. Man chose evil before he was evil, just like Satan, to sin against God. Adam, the caretaker of the earth, gave his authority to Satan who still holds the keys. You’re born into his kingdom, but Genesis makes it clear there are two teams of which you can join. You’re born to one, but you can change teams! You must choose. Get the True facts, so you can make an educated decision. Start with Genesis!
