Have You Wondered?

Have You Ever Wondered? If you follow the Bible or ancient archeology such as Stone Henge or Serpent Mount, the pyramids, ancient mounds or even New Age, you come to realize that the sun, moon and stars are important in all three, but have you ever wondered “Why”? The solstices and equinoxes all line up with these ancient sites and play a yearly significant role.

Let’s look at ancient paganism and modern New Age first. According to the Irish Times, “The word solstice comes from the Latin sōlstitium, which translates as ‘sun still’. To ancient people it looked like the sun stood still on that day. In Celtic culture the winter solstice marked the death and rebirth of the sun.” Equinoxes and solstices happen simultaneously around the world. *The word is derived from the Latin (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin)aequinoctium, from aequus (equal) and nox(night). On the day of an equinox, daytime and nighttime are of approximately equal duration all over the planet. The ancients used the Sun and the Moon as a sort of a calendar, tracking the Sun’s path across the sky. Today, the Sun is celebrated as a life giving force, fertility and renewal. But God made these signs and wonders in the sky and He said they are for "signs and seasons". They were His people’s calendar, so they would know when to celebrate the designated, appointed feast days, to worship to Him. The giants and pagans of antiquity, New Age and occult of today, copied God and and use these signs in the heavens to worship their false gods. The Feast Days that God commanded all testified to the Messiah coming, Israel’s history, and to keep God at the forefront of their mind ALL year long. A very interesting study that applies to us today as they also point to the soon return of Christ. Satan copies and hijacks all that God does, but He never gets it right! Now you know!
