Do You Know?

I love the story of Abraham and Sarah as Abraham keeps telling foreign kings, of which there were many, that Sarah was his sister not his wife. In those days every small kingdom had a king, so it’s possible he did this more than the two time mentioned.

When asked by one king why he told this, Abraham said in Genesis 20:13 “She truly is my sister by my father but not by my mother, so I told her when we left home, at the call of God, every where we stop, say of me, He is my brother.

Two times Sarah is taken by kings into their harems never to be see again!!!! The world and its circumstances and its evil desires encroach upon us all, just as it did to Abraham and Sarah. But God… God will never leave you nor forsake you! He WILlL intervene in any situation that you include Him.

God send the king a dream. A very real dream that the king knew was from God! He knew that he was a dead man if he didn’t release this woman. But what is so cool is that not only was she released, they were endowed with riches to get rid of them! Both times this happened! God truly turned a bad situation into their enormous good!

Read the story yourself and understand that through the shed blood of Jesus, God is just as much for YOU as He is for Abraham!

When reading the Word, read it with eyes that understand He is no respecter of persons and He is for you and not against you. Jesus is the door though! Walk through Him and He WILL turn all bad things into good just for you.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Rom 8:28
