What are You Expecting?

For he who has once entered (God’s) rest also has ceased from (the weariness and pain) of human labors, just as God rested from those labors  peculiarly His own. Let us therefore be zealous and exert ourselves and strive diligently to enter that rest (of God, to know and experience it for ourselves), that no one may fall or perish by the same kind of unbelief and disobedience (into which those in the wilderness fell). Heb 4:10-11AMP Classic  

I read this and that first line hit me! For he who has once ENTERED (God’s) REST also has CEASED from (the weariness and pain) of human labors.

First, you must ENTER, then you must CEASE. Yes, there are requirements on you and those are the keys to eternal life and help and peace here and now!

If you study the names of God, they all represent an office He fulfills. Such as Savior, Physician and Provider. If we know Who He is and what He actually did and does for us, we can rest! Meaning that you will not have anxiety and panic attacks, you will not lack money, you will not be sick, because you cast all these cares upon Him and He bares them for you.

The problem is not with Him, it’s with us! We simply do not understand what He did outside the realm of salvation, which of course was the most important, but other things, by not understanding the entire package, could turn you from Him! Let us be diligent to enter into that blessed rest that ONLY comes from knowing Him intimately. Rest here and now, not just in eternity to come.

I literally can cast my sickness, my problems, my lack, my everything on Him and EXPECT Him to fix it all! Noah expected rain and prepared for it!!! Are you working on your Ark by drawing closer, by learning who He is and really what He did for you? What are you expecting?
