Is Faith God's Currency?

Is Faith God’s Currency?

I heard that a while back and wrote it down and put it on my kitchen cabinet. I was thinking that like money allows me to walk out of a store with items, Faith moves God and allows me to get from Him what I need. But that’s wrong! God is not moved by my faith, that so called currency. The Word is clear that all the work needed to be done to bring me back to God was done at the cross. Therefore my faith can’t move something that has already moved.

So what is Faith? Faith is simply the believer believing what Jesus did and what the Bible says. It’s not something to go after, like you would money. It’s something that quietly comes when you’re not expecting it. A simple confidence, a sweet trust in someone you can’t see, but you know is guiding your life. No, Faith really isn’t Gods currency, but rather a confidence that comes from spending time with Him and seeking Him.

Hope that eases you from the mad dash to get more faith for your needs to be met.

“Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, BEFORE ye ask him.”  Matthew 6:8
