If you’re a believer in Jesus Christ as your Savior, you should also be filled with the power from on high that Jesus said the Father would send and Jesus Himself would baptize you into. John 1:26, Matt 3:11, John 1:33, John 14:26,
We make it so complicated because we don’t understand or we’ve been taught wrong. First we must understand that we have three parts. We have a body. We have a soul (mind, will and emotions) and we have a spirit. That spirit is dead until Christ brings it alive. Once He does that, then He wants to fill that spirit part of you with the Holy Spirit, making you like Himself. Simple? This is the part of you that communes with God. This is the part of you that changes, and affects the other parts of you.
Satanist, spiritualist, occultist, natives I’ve read about in the Amazon, give their spirits over to be inhabited by demonic spirits. They get information they couldn’t possibly know otherwise. They even speak in unknown to them languages, as the spirit(s) speak through them in mockery to God. Remember Satan can only counterfeit what God does.
John 14:27 The world does not know the Spirit of Truth, but you believer can ask Jesus to give you and fill your spirit with the Holy Spirit and thereby plug you into the additional power that you absolutely need! Ask and you shall receive. It’s done! Now, pray aloud, allowing the Holy Spirit the freedom to speak through you. He will NOT open your mouth against your will! If what comes out is not English, don’t stop! That’s the Holy Spirit speaking to your spirit mysteries, that He will reveal to you. Ask for the interpretation. It may come right then or later, 1 Cor 14:13. This is how you talk and hear from God in your born again Spirit. It’s really so simple and you will find that your life is never the same!
Ask today and then walk in understanding and confidence in the power of the Holy Spirit living in you!
