Hungry For More

*"The person who neglects the Lord soon spins out of control as the devil moves in and takes over. Such a person has a devastated self image. His feelings of self-doubt and despair cannot be curved, and his tongue wags and moves under the power of bitterness and anger. If only he would fall in love with Jesus, walking and talking with Him! God would soon show him that Satan has no real dominion over him, and this person would quickly allow Christ to control him. Then he would be chasing demons, putting thousands to flight, standing up for faith against every fear, lie, and doubt, that come by believing God and walking with Him in faith.”

That was me and that was Hope Carpenter who wrote a book called “Finding Hope.” I’ve heard her same testimony before, but today it hit me in the gut! I still have some hang up’s and like everyone, they are due to early life, when you’re trying to figure life out, and life bites you in the rear, because of sin. I truly believe this is EVERYONES problem.

We have a choice to allow and listen to Satan as he ruins our lives and those around us, even through us, or realize Jesus is the ONLY answer. But that takes a made up mind to go for it! We’ve got to set our eyes on the prize and not stop when Satan sends his firey darts our way.

Learning to commune with Jesus. Talk to Jesus. Hear Jesus. Allow Jesus to change you. What a deal! Today, I’m taking some old hurts and misconceptions to Him for healing. Won’t you?
