The Fool

The Lord showed me recently how Satan makes absolute fools out of us, in order to mock God. Proverbs is full of such scriptures.

Poverty and shame come to him who refuses instruction and correction, (the fool) but he who heeds reproof is honored. Prov 13:18

Doing wrong is like a joke to a fool,
but wisdom is pleasure to a man of understanding. Prov 10:23

Like a dog that returns to his vomit
is a fool who repeats his folly. Prov 26:11

The depths of depravity that human beings will go, astounds me!

Satisfied desire is sweet to a person; therefore it is hateful and exceedingly offensive to (self-confident) fools to give up evil (upon which they have set their hearts). Prov 13:19

The Lord brought King Nebuchadnezzar, who had his heart set on power and domination, (all fueled by pride), down to utter humiliation. Notice how sinful, prideful men, in the end, are viewed as fools! Once the most powerful man on the face of the earth, now living outside, identifying as an animal. Looking like a moronic fool!

God is calling us to know Truth. To put away pride, which is foolish! He calls everyone, but most ignore Him, just like Nebuchadnezzar.

A friend gave a Bible to a desperate man recently and he sent the Bible back saying he “wasn’t interested”. His life is in shambles! He came in contact with the Truth, and has rejected it like a fool.

But the pride and self-reliance of Israel testifies before his (own) face. Therefore shall (all) Israel, and (especially) Ephraim (the northern ten tribes), totter and fall in their iniquity and guilt, and Judah shall stumble and fall with them. Hosea 5:5

Pride in self, pride that refuses God NEVER has a happy ending. I would rather look to the world like a fool for Christ, than watch as the enemy destroys me with sin, to the point even the world says, “look at that fool”!

My people perish for a lack of knowledge. Hos 4:6

Whose fault is that?
