Defeating Sin & Temptation

"As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations." He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed-the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were" (Romans 4:17)

How exactly did Abraham do this? Did you know that God called Abraham at 35-40 years old and he was 76, when he finally set out for Canaan? And then he took his brothers son. His brother had died, but he was told not to take anyone but his wife and servants. He was given a promise that his mind continually wrestled with. Oh! And he took his father too!

But the entire time, every time he heard his name, what he really heard was the meaning of that name that God had changed it to. Abram meant  “High father” but Abraham means “father of a multitude”!  Abraham lived his life proclaiming with his name, that he was a father of a multitude!

The same principle apply to us. We must call the things that are in the spirit realm ours, such as calling ourselves “the righteousness of God”, even when we don’t feel righteous! The truth is, in the Spirit, we are! As righteous as we will ever be, all due to the blood of the Lamb that washed permanently, my sins away!

Today, start seeing and proclaiming who you really are, not who you feel like. Sin will have to bow. This vision inside will develop faith. Faith to live out who you really are. And hang on while in the gap period. That’s your growing time! Natural things, sin and temptation must bow! Everything in life comes out of your relationship with God, or your lack of.

Blessings
