Destruction Month

This is Pride Month, at least that’s what June has been dubbed, or  you could say this is Destruction Month, for pride goes before a fall!

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18

Read Provers chapter 16 today and you will see that what is being celebrated is anti-Christ. It is not of God. It is from Satan.

Pride is the opposite of a life originating from God, committed to God. Satan is destroying these lives, which is his goal, to kill you and steal your very soul and spirit and take you to Hell with him. How does he do that? Through lies and through your hurts. Through imposing his false ideas,  his feelings upon you. Why the high suicide rate among transgenders? Why the alcohol abuse and drug abuse among a large part of the population? Because Satan wants you to think all those things and raise up your pride banner against God. For in that, you are void of peace, separated from your creator. A prisoner of evil.

It’s the same story, just a new generation of actors, with a twist on the plot! In Acts 19:24 we find a wealthy man, who became wealthy from making small idols in the image of the great statue of the goddess Artemis. He got his fellow tradesman together and riled them up over Paul preaching, and turning people away from Artemis worship, for they were no longer buying the men’s wears. They caused a great confusion in the city, carrying their Pride banner, declaring the goddess Artemis as the source of their pride. Sin always demands its own way!

Money and the desire to be loved and accepted is the driving factor of all men. Jesus said if you will lose your life, you will find it and if you drink from the Living Water that He offers you will never thirst again. But Satan wants us to be self-focused. Obsessed with money, obsessed with our own feelings, obsessed with our own fleshly wants, desires and needs. Needs that can never be met apart from a relationship with the One who formed you in your mothers womb. The One who knows ALL about you. The One who loves you and sees you in your struggles.

For we (Christians) are the true circumcision, who worship God in spirit and by the Spirit of God and exult and glory and pride ourselves in Jesus Christ, and put no confidence or dependence (on what we are) in the flesh and on outward privileges and physical advantages and external appearances. Phill3:3

 Do you see the difference? Satan wants you consumed with self. God wants you consumed with His Son. Satan wants to destroy your body and your soul and your spirit. Christ wants to save your body, save your soul and spirit and forever love and provide for you.

Jesus loves you. Satan hates you.
