Can you have love and not have judgement? If you love your child, you will not leave them to fulfill their sinful desires! My grand-baby grabbed a woman’s hair yesterday and her mother gave her a stern “No!” And her lower lip poked out!!!! She’s 6 months old and she KNEW very well what that “No” meant. Can you imagine if as she grew older, she went around pulling everyone’s hair?
Jesus loves us enough to convict of and correct us of wrong. He loves us enough to even judge us and punish us for wrong, because punishment is sometimes all we understand! If Jesus didn’t love us, He would leave us in our sins!
But, we are never appointed to God’s wrath! Noah, Lot, Methuselah, (whose name means “when he dies, judgement”), Enoch, and others, all spared the wrath of God.
The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that THE RIGHTEOUS ARE TAKEN AWAY TO BE SPARED FROM EVIL.” Is 57:1
That’s LOVE!
