Religion Is A Powerhouse!
John Wycliffe fought the Catholic Church, who was the religious powerhouse of his day. How? By going against them and producing a hand written, translated English Bible. Thus the Catholic Church had made it against the law to read the Bible in English, even decreeing it a criminal offense! Could their motivation possibly have been control?
Wycliffe of England and his team brought the Word of God to the English speaking people, and it grew in popularity in spite of the church. Some even began RENTING time to read the English Bible! This infuriated the powers to be for a very long time. 31 years after Wycliffe’s death, Wycliffe was condemned at the Council of Constance by said “church” in 1415, in Konstanz, Germany. Then, in 1428, Pope Martin V ordered that Wycliffe’s remains be exhumed, burned, and thrown into the River Swift as a final act of punishment. This was part of the Church’s effort to suppress his teachings, which had inspired reform movements like the Lollards and later influenced figures like Jan Hus and Martin Luther.
Now you know the truth of the matter and what lengths Satan will go to keep you in spiritual darkness! Read the book and come learn with us about the book at Freedoms Light, Ball Ground or online. And remember, we have relationship, not religion!
Blessings
