Proclivities

If you grew up eating a certain type of food, say Italian — lots of pasta and sauce, and you were never exposed to any other food, the odds of you ever developing a taste for other cultural food is slim to none, especially the older you get before you try. You have trained your brain as well as your body — your taste buds to only like that type food. Well, it’s exactly the same with pornography and sex. In a young persons quest to find themselves, to find love, to find their place in the world and to satisfy that overwhelming urge to procreate, to join with a life partner — today they fulfill this with pornography and develop a taste for what satisfies. It may be heterosexual or it may be homosexual, depending on the family dynamics, the love and nurture and teaching they have received at home and the outward promiscuities that have have shaped their tastes, fed their insecurities and worked to overcome their hurts.

But the Bible, Gods holy decree says for there to be one man and one woman. “Man love the woman. Woman honor the man. Have children. Love them. Teach them to love Me. Teach them they were made in My image in order to fellowship with Me. Teach them they are in a battle for their minds and their souls against My, (their Creator’s) enemy. Teach them not to develop tastes for the enemy. Teach them to go to the Word FIRST and see what it says on how to live and defeat my enemy,” said God.

Do this and you will have a stable child who unlike all their friends has a firm grasp on reality. Search it out as a family. Truth always saves. And develop in them a proclivity for Truth, for Truth ALWAYS wins in the end. For Truth = Jesus. What do you have a proclivity to?
