Houses You Did Not Build

Driving many years ago and talking to the Lord, the Holy Spirit spoke to me loudly, as if He were sitting in the passenger seat! He spoke from Deuteronomy 6:10–11 where God promised Israel cities, houses, and vineyards they didn’t build. It was His way of saying: “I go before you. I prepare what you need.” But instead of houses and wells, he changed it to fit my business. Like, “Accounts that are not yours, etc.” it was the most I have ever heard the Holy Spirit speak at one time. I didn’t understand the entirety of the message then, but the same Grace that provided for the Israelites, God said He was providing for me. And that same grace is yours in Christ.

You may not receive literal houses, but you live every day in blessings you didn’t earn — peace you didn’t create, strength you didn’t muster, provision you didn’t arrange. Jesus finished the work, and you simply walk into it. Grace always arrives before you do!

In talking to our friend David in Germany today, who tells me all the time that Germany is literally void of God and even the language does not have words to express Christian truths - It occurred to me that God has given him a gift with languages, a Grace, so that he could hear the Gospel!

When God Asks for the Impossible
Scripture:
“Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.” — Genesis 6:22

When we read the story of Noah, it’s easy to focus on the animals, the flood, or the size of the Ark. But tucked inside the details is a quiet, powerful truth: God asked Noah to do something that made no sense — and Noah obeyed anyway.

The Ark, built exactly as the Bible describes, would have been enormous. In 1909 a wooden vessel was constructed, called the Wyoming, 100 feet shorter than Noah’s Ark, and 25 feet less wide. The boat was plagued with constant flexing, bending, twisting, and buckling. Separation between the hull planks that no caulking could ever fully seal. Eventually the Wyoming sank with the loss of all hands on deck.

Ever thought of how the boat was built? I hadn’t. Noah built it, not because he understood shipbuilding. Not because he had proof it would work. Not because he could see the storm clouds gathering. He built it because God said to. Noah’s obedience wasn’t rooted in engineering — it was rooted in trust.

No mast. No mainsail. No rudder or ship’s wheel. A shelter from God’s wrath, typifying Christ, outer shelter from God’s holy wrath. And maybe most astounding of all, the Bible lends to the belief that the Ark was built on dry land, no where near water!

God didn’t ask Noah to understand the physics.
He didn’t ask him to predict the weather.
He didn’t ask him to calculate buoyancy or stress loads.
He asked him to trust.
And Noah’s trust became the very thing that carried him through the waters.

….that the word of God may not be blasphemed.” — Titus 2:5

Paul’s words to Titus can feel heavy at first. He speaks to older men, older women, young women, and young men — calling each group to live in a way that reflects God’s character. And then he adds a phrase that stops us in our tracks:
“…so that the word of God may not be blasphemed.”
He’s reminding us of something profound:
The way we live either confirms or contradicts the message we claim to believe.

In the early church, the world didn’t read Bibles — it read Christians.
And honestly, not much has changed.
When Paul speaks to young women about loving their families, being self‑controlled, and living with integrity, he’s not boxing them in. He’s lifting up the truth that a transformed life is one of the loudest sermons the world will ever hear.
The same is true for every believer.
When we forgive when others expect bitterness
When we show kindness in a culture of harshness
When we stay faithful in a world that celebrates quitting
When we choose purity in a world that mocks it
When we walk in peace instead of panic
…we make the gospel believable.
Not perfect lives — consistent lives.
Not flawless behavior — faithful direction.

Paul’s point is simple:
Let your life make God’s Word look as powerful as it truly is. The opposite is also true. When we live in ways that contradict the gospel, people may dismiss the God we claim to follow. That’s what Paul means by “blaspheming the word of God” — not insulting God, but making His message look empty.
So today, instead of feeling pressure, let this verse invite you into purpose. Your life is a canvas. Your choices are brushstrokes. And in the end, it should look like Jesus. Yes, your character is a testimony and the world is watching — not to judge you, but to see if the hope you carry is real. Think about today.

Scripture: Deuteronomy 20:16–18

When Israel entered Canaan, God commanded them to destroy “everything that breathes”—including the animals. It’s a hard passage, but the reason is surprisingly simple: God was removing not just the sin, but the things that fed the sin.

In Canaan, animals weren’t just livestock. They were woven into idol worship, fertility rituals, and sacrifices to false gods. They were part of a system that harmed people and pulled hearts away from the Lord. By removing the animals, God was removing the infrastructure of a corrupt spiritual culture.

This wasn’t cruelty—it was cleansing.
It was God protecting His people from being drawn into practices that would destroy them.

And the same principle reaches into our lives today.

Sometimes God asks us not only to walk away from a harmful pattern, but to remove the things that support it—the reminders, the access points, the habits that keep the old life alive. His cleansing is thorough because His love is thorough.

Where might God be inviting you to remove not just the sin, but the roots that feed it?

The Bible Book Club

Read 2 Timothy 3:16
There’s something breathtaking about the way Paul describes Scripture: he says it is “God‑breathed.” That means the Bible isn’t just an old book or a collection of wise sayings. It carries the very breath, the very life, of God Himself. When we open Scripture, we aren’t just reading words on a page — we’re receiving something living, something meant to shape us from the inside out.

Paul goes on to say that Scripture teaches, corrects, and trains us. Not to shame us, but to form us. God uses His Word the way a craftsman uses his tools — gently, intentionally, and with a vision for who we can become.

But here’s the beautiful part: the Bible only does this work when we actually open it. A closed Bible can’t comfort us. A forgotten Bible can’t guide us. A rushed life can’t hear God’s whisper.

When we choose to read — even a few verses — we’re making space for God to breathe into us again. We’re letting His truth steady our thoughts, soften our hearts, and redirect our steps.
Today, let Scripture be more than a task. Let it be a meeting place — a quiet moment where God speaks, and you listen.

Stands to reason the Earth is the one planet God chose to populate, because He’s a God of One.

What Dwells Beyond

I don’t think most people really understand what it means for a book to be God‑breathed. Even many Christians treat the idea like something familiar and ordinary. But if you stop and think about it, the thought is overwhelming: the God who created the entire universe chose to give His very words to human beings and have them written down in a Book. That alone should fill us with awe. You’d think we would be desperate to get our hands on such a Book and spend every possible moment reading it, treating every single word as priceless.

Have you ever really paused to consider how incredible it is to hold a Book that God Himself wrote and preserved? If it helps, take your King James Bible outside at night and look up at the sky. Every star you see—and all the ones you can’t—were made by the Lord. Then open your Bible and look at the words on the page. The same God who created those stars also protected and preserved every one of these words:
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
—2 Timothy 3:16–17

Current War and Prophecy

“In the latter days I will bring you against My land, that the nations may know Me.”
— Ezekiel 38:16

When wars arise and the headlines feel heavy, our hearts naturally turn to God’s Word. The current conflict involving Iran can make Ezekiel 38–39 feel suddenly close, as if the ancient words are echoing through today’s news. Ezekiel speaks of Persia—modern Iran—as part of a future coalition, and it’s easy to wonder if what we’re seeing now is the beginning of that prophecy.

The events Ezekiel describes include conditions that have not yet happened: Israel living in complete security, a united northern coalition, and a supernatural intervention only God can accomplish. Today’s conflict may resemble the shadows of that prophecy, but it is not the fulfillment. Instead, it is a reminder that God’s Word is steady and His purposes are moving toward a future He already sees. God has a time line for these events.

Even in the shaking, God’s heart is clear: “that the nations may know Me.” He is not surprised by world events. He is not unsettled by the rise and fall of nations. He remains sovereign, guiding history toward His glory and His promises. All revolving around Israel.

So when the world feels uncertain, we rest in the One whose throne never moves. We trust the God who holds every nation in His hands, even though they are under the control of fallen angels as we learned in Preppers entitled, The Day God Gave The nations Away. In spite of this He keeps HIS people under His care. The headlines may shift, but His faithfulness does not. Hang on! It’s an exciting time to live.

When Healing and Stewardship Work Together

Scripture: My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings… For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh

“Faith without works is dead.” — James 2:26

God is a healer. He invites us to bring every sickness, every diagnosis, every fear into His presence. But Scripture also shows that while God supplies the power, He often asks us to participate in the process.

Just as Noah built the ark, though he couldn’t make it rain…
Just as the widow gathered jars, though she couldn’t fill them…
Just as Peter cast the net, though he couldn’t create the fish…

We, too, have a part that positions us for God’s work.

Praying for healing while continually eating what harms the body doesn’t make the prayer invalid. It simply means the person is asking God for an outcome while living in a way that works against it. Not out of rebellion, but often out of habit, comfort, or struggle.

And God understands that struggle.
He meets us in it.
He strengthens us through it.

But He also gently calls us to stewardship — to care for the body He gave us, even when it’s hard, even when it requires sacrifice.

Your part is not to heal yourself.
Your part is to stop harming what you’re asking God to heal.

When we align our choices with our prayers, something powerful happens.
Our obedience becomes the doorway for God’s grace.
Our discipline becomes the soil where His healing can grow.
Our small steps become the place where His strength shows up.

God never asks us to do what we cannot do apart from Him.
He only asks us to do what we can — and to trust Him with the rest.

Ezekiel 25:17-22 Cherubim carry God’s throne. FOUR of them. They are not angels, but a four faced, winged being. (1 Chron 28:18). On earth the Kohathites were appointed to carry Gods earthy throne, The Ark of the Covenant where God would sit between the gold cherubim and talk to Moses. FOUR Kohathites.

Interestingly this was copied by the ancients, and they carried their dignitaries or “gods” on what was known as a “sedan”. A sedan chair was a covered, windowed chair carried on poles by porters.

When automobiles were being classified in the early 1900s, the term “sedan” was adopted because the enclosed passenger compartment resembled the enclosed space of a sedan chair. The first recorded use of “sedan” for a car body style was in 1912.

In ancient Rome, “carrus” referred to a wagon or cart.

In medieval Europe, the word came into English as “carre”, meaning a wheeled vehicle.

By the 19th century, “car” was used for railway carriages and streetcars.

By 1896, the word extended to mean automobile.

No, there is nothing new under the sun. It all goes back to God, the Creator and the Bible explains it.

The Big Foot You May Not Know

The “Paranormal Bigfoot” researchers
are the people who believe Bigfoot is not a normal animal but a spiritual or interdimensional being. They claim Bigfoot can:

communicate telepathically
give warnings or visions
share “ancient knowledge”
appear in dreams
guide people spiritually
This group often uses words like:

“messenger”
“forest guardian”
“teacher”
“higher being”
Some even say Bigfoot gives prophetic messages about nature, humanity, or the future.

2. The “Contactee” movement

A few individuals claim Bigfoot has:

spoken to them mentally
given them visions
revealed “hidden truths”
warned them about coming events
These people often describe Bigfoot the same way UFO contactees describe aliens — as beings who bring “higher wisdom.”

3. The “Portal” or “Interdimensional” researchers

Some modern Bigfoot investigators believe Bigfoot can:

step in and out of portals
vanish instantly
appear as an orb or shadow
deliver spiritual messages
These researchers often say Bigfoot is connected to:

UFO sightings
paranormal activity
psychic experiences
This is becoming mainstream among sightings.

They sometimes claim Bigfoot brings “knowledge from another realm.”

From a Christian perspective
Any being that claims to bring:

prophecy
hidden knowledge
secret wisdom
spiritual messages
should be approached with discernment, because Scripture warns that deceptive spirits often present themselves as wise or mysterious.

The Bible never describes God’s messengers as hairy forest giants, but it does warn about beings that offer “secret knowledge.”

Bigfoot Sightings On The Rise

Ancient cultures all over the world described beings that sound surprisingly similar to what people today call “Bigfoot.” What’s fascinating is that these descriptions existed long before modern sightings — and many of them had a spiritual or supernatural dimension, not just a physical one. Here’s a clear look at how different cultures understood these beings.

1. Native American Traditions
Nearly every tribe in North America has stories of large, hairy, human‑like beings.
Common themes:
Supernatural guardians of the forest
Shape‑shifters
Spirits that could appear and disappear
Beings that communicated mentally
Warnings not to follow them or interact with them
These weren’t “undiscovered apes” — they were spiritual beings with physical traits.

2. Mesopotamian & Middle Eastern Traditions
Ancient cultures in the Bible lands also described giant, wild, hairy beings.
Examples:
Enkidu (Epic of Gilgamesh): a wild, hairy, giant-like being created by the gods, living in the wilderness.
Se’irim (Leviticus 17:7): goat‑like or hairy wilderness spirits Israel was forbidden to worship.
Nephilim/Rephaim: giant hybrid beings connected to spiritual rebellion.
These beings were often tied to desolate places, just like many Bigfoot sightings.

3. Aboriginal Australian Traditions
The Yowie is described as:
tall
hairy
powerful
sometimes physical, sometimes spiritual
appearing and disappearing suddenly
Aboriginal stories treat it as a spirit of the land, not an animal.

4. Himalayan Traditions
The Yeti in Tibetan and Nepalese culture is not just a snow creature.
It is:
a mountain spirit
a guardian
sometimes benevolent, sometimes dangerous
connected to sacred places
Again — spiritual, not merely biological.

5. European Traditions
Europe has its own versions:
Woodwose (wild man of the woods)
Leshy (Slavic forest spirit)
Basajaun (Basque protector of the forest)
These beings were described as:
tall
hairy
humanoid
supernatural
territorial
They were often considered spirits, not animals.

So what does this mean?

Across cultures — with no contact between them — people described the same kind of being

From a Christian perspective
The Bible acknowledges:
giants
hybrid beings
wilderness spirits
deceptive supernatural beings
angels appearing physically
demons manifesting in strange forms
So the idea that some “cryptids” might be spiritual beings with physical manifestations is not unbiblical — it actually fits the worldview of Scripture and ancient cultures.

Instructions to the King

Deuteronomy 17 is God giving Moses Instructions to give to Israel. He’s telling them what to do when they come into the land that God Himself has reserved for them as His own. He tells them when the day comes that they want a king, (because the nations around them have a king) - He did not want them to have a king, but He knew their hearts - that the king should himself write out a copy of the Law that God had given Moses.

He was to go to the Levitical priest and copy it from them. It was to be before him and he was commanded to read it all the days of his life.

But why?

That he may learn to fear the LORD his God and to keep His Laws and Statutes and do them. If he did, and didn’t turn and do his own thing, but followed the Lord and obeyed His laws, then his days would be prolonged and his children’s.

And if this was true for the king, how much more for us as individuals?  

We may not sit on a throne, but we are still called to live under God’s authority. Just as the king was commanded to keep the Word before him daily, we are invited to do the same. Reading Scripture shapes our hearts, guards our steps, and keeps us from “turning aside” into our own ways. The Word teaches us to fear the Lord, to know His character, and to walk in obedience.

When we keep God’s Word continually before us, it forms us, anchors us, and keeps us aligned with His will — just as it was meant to do for Israel’s king. Start today! No time to waste!

To deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. 1 Cor 5:5

Who and what is Paul talking about? The Corinthian church had a man openly living in sexual immorality so shocking that even pagans wouldn’t tolerate it (1 Cor 5:1). The church wasn’t correcting him — they were proud of their tolerance.

The “what” of the issue at hand is the fact that God first dwelled in the Tabernacle with Israel then in the Temple and then in men’s hearts in the body of Christ, I.e. the church. Paul was saying to remove him from the protection and fellowship of the church. Why? Because the church is the realm of God’s order and blessing. Turning him out of the church was turning him out into the realm where Satan operates.

So Paul is saying:

“Put him out of the church so he experiences the consequences of his sin.”

This is church discipline — not punishment for punishment’s sake, but for restoration. Paul is desirous that the painful consequences of his sin will break his pride, rebellion, and stubbornness. Sometimes people won’t repent until they feel the weight of their choices. This is similar to the prodigal son — he didn’t come home until he hit rock bottom. Sound familiar?

The goal is:

repentance
restoration
salvation
healing

Thus church discipline is always redemptive, not vindictive. And we know, it worked — in 2 Corinthians 2:6–8, Paul tells the church to forgive and restore the man because he repented.

Now you know.

I have struggled with Yoga. Yes I’ve done it and yes I liked it. But I would pray while doing it (to God through Jesus) and not do the obvious third eye stuff. I looked at it as exercise. The argument in the New Testament about whether or not to eat meat offered to idols is the same argument today. Can a Christian do yoga?

The word Yoga means “to yolk, join, unite.” At its core, yoga is about union—the integration of body, mind, and spirit into a centered, coherent whole. Union of the self with the divine or universal consciousness — the deepest aim in classical yoga. Learning from the natural world, the practice is to embody qualities those animals represented. (Romans 1:25 (KJV)  “Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.”)

In an interview with Beckett Cook, Rae Darabont explained her experience with Yoga prior to salvation and the attempt of Christianity to Christianize a pagan practice today. She asked a riveting question, “The word Yoga from Sanskrit means that you are yoking together mind, body and spirit. So can you separate a physical act from the mind and spirit?” I say no and she as well. Physical acts, as we all know impact ginormously, the mind and spirit. She got into yoga, living in L.A. where yoga is HUGE, with the goal of staying in shape and helping her anxiety, which only got worse, pointing out that practitioners of “Kundalini yoga warn of insanity and mental breakdown if done.” Needless to say her anxiety got worse.

But I was thinking of this Christianizing yoga in comparison with Paul talking about eating food sacrificed to idols. Is it the same? Paul said someone could eat food sacrificed to idols, if it wasn’t convicting to them or a stumbling block to someone else. Can the same be said of yoga?

Well, let’s first understand the sacrificing of meet to idols. Why sacrificed meat ended up in the marketplace? Temple sacrifice wasn’t just a religious act; it was part of the economic system:

• Only a portion of the animal was burned for the god.

• Priests kept a portion as payment.

• The remaining meat was sold to butchers, who then sold it in the public marketplace (the macellum).

• This made sacrificial meat common, cheap, and widely available.

In a major Greco‑Roman city, avoiding idol‑sacrifice meat entirely was almost impossible unless you became vegetarian. But eating inside a temple or in a context that looked like worship was not permitted for believers. This is why Jewish communities often formed their own markets or relied on Jewish butchers.

So, if I can eat meat that has been sacrificed to idols, which is the case today with meat dedicated to Allah and shown on the package, can I do yoga and Christianize it? The answer goes back to Rae’s question, “Can you separate a physical act from the mind and spirit?”  

Rae says, “…but for a Christian to say I'm going to take the spiritual practice of another religion and I'm going to make it

a Christian practice, maybe it's just me, but that kind of looks and feels like the same thing. It's post-modernist.  It's like redefining terms and kind of negotiating something to fit to your own needs or your own self.” Taking a religion and twisting it to mean something it doesn’t mean. A serious religion, as Rae discovered, that opened her up to further trouble. For the whole goal of the practice is not physical but rather Union of the self with the divine or universal consciousness.

If you’re a Christian thinking about yoga, read what it’s really all about. Read the origins of it. Read what it is believed to do. Read about the deeper yoga practice of kundalini yoga and the spiritual fall out.

No, I don’t think the comparison can be made with eating meat sacrificed to idols as a believer who knows the idols are demonic in nature but gives no validly to the act. Practicing a religion, a spiritual exercise that is meant to yoke your body, mind and spirit together with divine or universal consciousness, is another thing entirely. I don’t see how you can Christianize that!

I gave it up some years ago, not really understanding what it was all about. I was doing it out of ignorance and believing the Christian lie that it was ok. Now I understand so much more and knowledge is key for the believer, for one of my favorite verses is “My people perish for a lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6

The OT Tabernacle and You

In the Old Testament, God’s presence was centered in a physical structure:

The tabernacle was:
God’s dwelling
God’s meeting place
God’s visible presence among Israel
But it was external and physical. Jesus becomes the true tabernacle.

John 1:14 says:

“The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…”

The word “dwelt” literally means tabernacled.

Jesus is:
God’s presence in human form
The meeting place between God and man
The fulfillment of everything the tabernacle symbolized
He is the true Holy of Holies in flesh.

When Jesus died, the veil that separated people from God’s presence, tore. Access to God is now open. “The veil of the temple was torn in two.” (Matt 27:51)

Paul says:
“Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost…?”
(1 Cor 6:19)

And:

“Ye are the temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwelleth in you.”
(1 Cor 3:16)

This means:

✔ God no longer lives in a building

✔ God lives in you

✔ You are the new Holy of Holies

✔ Your body is the new sacred space

Just like the tabernacle had:

a lampstand → you shine His light
incense → your prayers rise to God
bread of presence → Christ in you
sacrifices → you offer yourself

 1. God’s presence is inside you
  2. You are set apart (holy)

You are a priest
You offer spiritual sacrifices
Your body matters

The OT tabernacle was God’s dwelling place among His people; now your body is God’s dwelling place within His people.

Look for the Old in the New!

Super Bowl winning coach Tony Dungy  said, “You can get to the top and do it the Lords way.”

Dungy became:
the first Black head coach to win a Super Bowl
one of the most respected coaches in NFL history
a leader known for calmness, integrity, and faith
And he did it without compromising his values.

That’s exactly what he means by:

“You can get to the top and do it the Lord’s way.”

Dungy believes success and godliness are not opposites. He often pushes back against the idea that you must:

cheat
yell
manipulate
compromise
be cut‑throat
…in order to win at the highest levels.

His message is this, “You can reach the top and still honor God in how you live and lead.”

This theme appears throughout his books Quiet Strength and Uncommon, where he emphasizes integrity, humility, and servant leadership.

Dungy frequently states:

“I’ve said all along that God is in control.”

“I don’t have the strength or wisdom to get through a single day without guidance and grace from God.”

For him, coaching was never just about football — it was about honoring Christ in the process.

Dungy didn’t retire to his second home, he is spending his retirement evangelizing for Jesus. Dungy teaches “mentor leadership,” which means:
serving others
lifting people up
leading with compassion
modeling Christlike behavior
He quotes Jesus’ words about serving others (Mark 10:45) as the foundation of leadership.

Dungy often says: “The Lord doesn’t always take you in a straight line. He tests you sometimes.” This perspective shaped how he handled setbacks, including being fired before eventually winning the Super Bowl.

Look him up and listen to this man of Godly integrity’s message of hope and success.

Bad Bunny Mixed Races!

Latino’s were upset by Bad Bunny, who is from Puerto Rico and invited all Latinos to perform with him at the Super Bowl except for one, Lady Gaga who is from Italian decent.

Appreciate culture but don’t take it too far. Don’t exclude others, for science supports the Bible in that we all come from one single ancestral population. All humans have 99.9% of the same DNA.
This is exactly what the Bible teaches:
“He has made of one blood all nations of men.” Acts 17:26
Scientists call this:
Mitochondrial Eve (a single maternal ancestor)
Y‑chromosomal Adam (a single paternal ancestor)
This fits the biblical pattern of:
Adam and Eve
Noah’s family after the Flood
Science doesn’t contradict this — it actually supports it.
Skin color and physical traits are adaptations, not separate races. Science shows that traits like:
skin color
hair texture
eye shape
body build

Examples: Skin color
Melanin increases in high‑UV regions (Africa, India). Melanin decreases in low‑UV regions (Europe, Russia).
This is adaptation, not different “races.”
Eye shape - Epicanthic folds help protect eyes from:
cold winds
bright snow glare
desert sand
Again — adaptation.
Body build - Colder climates favor stockier builds (retain heat). Hot climates favor leaner builds (release heat).
These changes happen within one human species.

In short, Science and the Bible agree
✔ One human race
✔ One original population
✔ Differences developed through adaptation
✔ Ethnicities formed as groups migrated and separated
✔ No biological basis for “multiple races”
The Bible said it first.

In many ancient religions, gods were thought to be powerful but still dependent on human offerings. Feeding them kept them satisfied, benevolent, and willing to help. In many cultures, sharing a meal symbolized relationship. Offering food to a deity was like inviting them to the table — a sign of loyalty and connection. Food was life. Giving the best portions back to the gods expressed thankfulness for harvests, livestock, and survival itself.

Archaeology shows that as far back as the earliest civilizations (Sumer, Akkad, Egypt), people were already:
offering food to statues
pouring out drink offerings
burning incense
dedicating animals to gods
This began thousands of years before Moses, and even before Abraham.

God didn’t introduce sacrifices because He needed food.
He explicitly says the opposite:
“If I were hungry, I would not tell you…
The world is mine.”
(Psalm 50:12) meaning, “I don’t need your food. I don’t depend on you.”
This is God dismantling the entire pagan mindset.

Instead, God used sacrifices to:
✔ Teach holiness
✔ Show the seriousness of sin
✔ Provide a temporary way for forgiveness
✔ Point forward to Christ as the final sacrifice

In other words, God took a practice people already understood (sacrifice) and reoriented it toward truth.

God’s sacrificial system was a redemptive reinterpretation that pointed to Christ. Now you can understand the reason for communion. The New Covenant, after the cross, recognized in communion, is not a sacrifice — it is a memorial and participation

✔ A remembrance of the sacrifice
✔ A proclamation of His death
✔ A participation in the benefits of His sacrifice
✔ A covenant meal, not a ritual offering

Communion points back to the sacrifice — it does not repeat it. Communion is not a new version of OT sacrifices — it is the covenant meal that celebrates and remembers the final sacrifice of Jesus.

Every generation is formed by the culture it lives in—often more than it realizes. Looking back, it’s easy to see how norms shift. Elvis was 24 when he met 14‑year‑old Priscilla. Even into the 70s and early 80s, relationships with wide age gaps—some involving minors—were not viewed with the same moral clarity we have today. Many of us remember thinking it was odd, but not necessarily wrong. That’s the power of culture. It shapes what feels normal.
Culture changes. It always has.
But something deeper has shifted in the last century—something far more significant than changing social norms. For most of human history, including biblical times, behavior was behavior. Choices were choices. Actions were actions. They did not define a person’s identity.
Yet between the late 1800s and mid‑1900s, a new idea began to take root. Thinkers like Freud, Nietzsche, Rousseau, and Marx taught that the “true self” is found inside—within desires, impulses, and feelings. Slowly, culture embraced a new creed:
“What I feel is who I am.”
This is a radical break from Scripture’s understanding of the human person.

1. Modern Culture Treats Desire as Identity
Today the message is everywhere:
My desires define me.
My behavior expresses my true self.
My feelings reveal my identity.
Sexual desire becomes sexual identity.
Political behavior becomes political identity.
Consumer choices become lifestyle identity.
Even hobbies become identity statements.
This is a massive shift from how humanity has thought for thousands of years.
But Scripture warned us that a time would come when the foundations of morality, identity, and truth would be inverted:
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves…
lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God…
having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.”
— 2 Timothy 3:1–5
We are watching this unfold.
A culture that elevates desire to identity will inevitably redefine morality.
A culture that treats feelings as truth will eventually lose truth altogether.

Think About It
Culture is loud.
Culture is persuasive.
Culture is constantly shifting.
But Christ is steady.
The question for every believer is simple:
Will I be shaped by the culture around me,
or by the Christ within me?
Identity is not discovered by looking inward at our desires.
Identity is received by looking upward to our Creator.

Walk in truth and clarity today according to God’s Word NOT culture.

In a couple weeks I am going to teach on God’s plan for the Earth. His plan is all that matters. You can fight Him and each other to the point of destroying America, but it won’t matter in the grand scheme of things. You will die and the Earth will go on with God’s plan.

I am a “mutt”. Never done a DNA test, but I know from records that my descendants came from England, France and brace yourself, from North Georgia. Yes, that was my great - - - grandparents pictured. She was a Cherokee Indian and was not forced out on the trail of tears because she was married to a white man. My point? I understand man’s heart. I understand God’s plan. I understand “this ain’t it”, but it’s yet to come, all because of sin. I understand people are mis-led, deceived and dupped by our enemy Satan.

Billie Eilish, who used her 2026 Grammy Awards acceptance speech to declare, “No one is illegal on stolen land,”alongside her criticism of ICE and her closing remark of “F” ICE, can only stand by her words by handing over her 6 million dollar home which is on “stolen”Tribal Tongva lands.

Logically, let’s offer her two choices: 1) turn her house over to a native born American, Tongva Indian. And I was going to say 2) would be to give the house to an illegal immigrant, but that doesn’t work. Illegal immigrants are on stolen land as much as she is, so what rights do they have? According to her, she herself is on “stollen land” and she therefore should be removed from her home since it is stolen!!!! Or maybe turn it over to the Spaniards who first took over the land. They came over first to convert the Indians to Catholicism.

Billie, you may sing good, but you need to break away from culture and understand Truth and history. Let’s pray for this girls eyes to be open, before it’s too late for her.

The Garden of Love

In Carl Truman’s book The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self, he quotes William Blake’s poem The Garden of Love, cir.1794.

I went to the Garden of Love,
And saw what I never had seen:
A Chapel was built in the midst,
Where I used to play on the green.

And the gates of this Chapel were shut,
And 'Thou shalt not' writ over the door;
So I turn'd to the Garden of Love,
That so many sweet flowers bore.

And I saw it was filled with graves,
And tomb-stones where flowers should be:
And Priests in black gowns, were walking their rounds,
And binding with briars, my joys & desires.

A powerful poem that could be taken several ways. His childhood innocence and presumed closeness to God, now replaced by harshness of religion.

As Truman points out, “….it's life killing that's what he's saying and it's policed by these, I suppose now we would say almost gestapo like figures. These sinister black cadaverous figures of the priest who were there as he said, ‘binding with briars my joys and desires. Their sole purpose is to stop my pleasure to stop me from realizing myself to stop me from flourishing’”.

I think Truman has the more accurate interpretation. God gives us the parameters of living and behaving, knowing what awaits us in adulthood. A child left to their own will grow up a miserable menace to society and themselves. Jesus is your only hope, to save you from YOU and your own personal Garden of Love, in reality, a garden of self and sin.

Have you ever wondered why there is no mention of demons in the Old Covenant, yet in the New Covenant Jesus’ first recorded miracle after His baptism is casting out a demon? Everything Jesus did is rooted in the Old Covenant—you can’t fully understand the New without the Old.

Jesus cast out a demon after being tested in the wilderness for 40 days. This act demonstrated that Jehovah God was reclaiming the nations—the world that had been under Satan’s influence.

Luke 11:20 says, “But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.”

The war had begun. Jesus won.

Let’s look at some hard hitting Truth.  I need it black and white, cut and dry, Biblical Truth in this crazy, emotional world.  

Fact: People are born in sin, separated from God.  They are not born trans, gay, or any of the combination.  How do I know?  Because God would never create something He condemns.  It’s a result of sin, and subsequent trauma, bottom line.  

Fact: Men and women are different.  How boring if they were the same!  We each serve a different function in God’s creation.  That does not mean that men and women cannot work together, but there is still no denying the differences.  Women simply are not as strong as men.  Men are not as empathetic as women.  Two great places that exemplify differences and where their roles in society may play a part.  

Fact: The anus is not a sex organ.  I know, I know, but someone needs to say it! I heard a brave author say it on a pod-cast and I’m stealing it.  I’ve never heard anyone say it before!  Let’s see what AI says about it. Why it’s not classified as a sex organ: In anatomy, sex organs (reproductive organs) are defined as structures involved in:

Producing sex cells (sperm or eggs)
Enabling fertilization
Supporting reproduction or gestation
Examples include the testes, ovaries, uterus, penis, and vagina.

The anus, on the other hand:

Is part of the digestive system
Its biological function is excretion, not reproduction
It does not produce or receive reproductive cells

Well, there you go!  Some Truth for the day.  Truth is getting lost today and Christians need to speak out and proclaim what God says about things.

If I had inside information that you and your family were going to be attacked and killed on a certain date, and I did not tell you, would you hold me personally responsible if you lived?

Let’s look at 1 Corinthians 6:9–10 (KJV):
"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

There—we’ve all been warned. Now, what do we do with the warning? We are ALL unrighteous, even if you haven’t committed one of the sins listed.
Unrighteous? Condemned!
Ever had sex before marriage? Condemned!
Put anything before God? Condemned!
Had an affair, even in your mind? Condemned!
Transgender? Condemned!
Homosexual? Condemned!
Ever stolen? Condemned!
Wanted what your friend has? Condemned!
Got drunk? Condemned!
Caused trouble? Condemned!
Cheated someone? Condemned!

There’s the warning. Judgment awaits. You will pay for your sin and separation from God in Hell, no matter how good a person you believe you were, despite the sins listed above. These are examples of sin and unrighteous works before God. But we have a great Savior who came to deliver us from separation from God. He came to deliver us from the sins we are born into. He came to warn us that judgment is coming unless we choose to allow Him to pay the price of sin to God on our behalf.

Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
